Naturally, this one just came to me, though after an interesting conversation the other day, yet continued through to earlier the day after.
Will you walk alone?
Will you face your own--
Will you take the throne--
Bend the world in bone?
Cast like a demon and forged in blood;
A visceral vice of spite from brood.
In the mind of insanity born to flood
Upon the heart and mind clouded like mud,
Like an infection designed to control--
Fight with the best, but burn with the nest,
A hive of your devils, you hide to arrest,
While they, like gods, continue to outlast
Just for the memory to release at last,
Yet there is no relief for those sacrificed past.
In influenced mind, you only lose your sight,
Like a corpse in the crane, poisoning your veins--
Filled with formaldehyde, the venom of your Hyde,
Drown not your pain but in your own disdain;
Will you ever learn or will you only burn?
Heritage lies, just like a casket;
Buried for a reason, yet you won't forget.
You can rise and bear your scars with pride,
Or submit to the agony that you choose to ride.
You can live like a soldier and seek to fall with honor,
Or you can break like a coward and fall to horror.
But you can never know the meaning of respect until you go;
As the old phrase goes; you reap what you sow!...
